Mellifluous Monday #1 – Lovebirds ft Stee Downes

Let’s face it, the world is a better place when there’s good music hitting the ear. And it just so happens that the word ‘mellifluous’ is one of my favourites in the entire dictionary. There’s a bit of a back story here but I won’t bore you with the details.

So what better way to kickstart Mellifluous Monday than by introducing you to my all-time favourite song?

Lovebirds featuring Stee Downes – Want You In My Soul

If you had to ask me, this would be my answer every single time. It was one of only two songs I ended up dancing to at my wedding, the other of course being my first dance with my wife. It reminds me of the best people in my life and the times I’ve had with them. They know who they are.

Now there are two versions to this track. The best one and then the radio edit.

Listen to this eight minute track and feel instantly better if you’re having a bad day. On the flip side, a good day will become great after this.

For those impatient types, here’s the radio edit and official video.

Sadly, I’ve yet to see Lovebirds play a set in the flesh, both times appearances in South Africa were confirmed I had work commitments. Thankfully on one of those occasions flight delays meant a cancelled gig although I did miss out at Corona Festival earlier this year when this track was dropped.

Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter, on Instagram and to like my Facebook Page. If you loved this track then share this post with the world and help give someone a Mellifluous Monday.
